Three Ways To Open MS Office 2007 Files In MS Office 2003

This tip will help you to resolve the compatibility issues between the Office 2003 and Office 2007. Because all programs in office 2003 used the old file extensions for its different programs.  I have collected three different ways/solutions/tricks to resolve this issues, follow the steps below.

First Solution:

"Renaming the File Extension"

Just rename the file extension of the filename by removing the "x" letter at the end.. For example, .docx will become .doc and .xlsx will become .xls. Simple as that.

Second Solution:

"Using the Microsoft Compatibility Pack"

Instructions:

First download this. Microsoft Compatibility Pack
When you have downloaded the file, double click on FileFormatConverter.exe file to start the installation.

Now here it’s simply a case of pretending you’ve read the license terms and clicking continue.

Now click on Ok button to complete the installation.

Once the process is done, you can enjoy opening .docx files on Word 2003.

Third Solution:

"Save MS Office 2007 Files  in Office MS 2003 Format"

This is the simplest way. If you're going to save your MS Office 2007 files, choose the file type, Word 97-2003 Documents (*.doc). In this way you will be able to open your files in both MS Office 2003 & 2007. Because 2003 format doesn't have any compatibility issues with 2007 format.

That's all. Feel free to try any of this. Its all working, anyway. :)
