Make Applications Load Faster

Starting, running, or loading applications specially those heavy or RAM consuming ones take longer time before you can work on it. Such applications are  Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, After Effects and a lot more. Why not speed them up with a trick? Follow the steps below and you'll see your application start up faster than before.

Steps:
1. Create a shortcut for the application you want to load/start faster.
- To do that, right click the application > Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
- Or simply right-click any instance of Windows Explorer > New > Shortcut > enter Directory\AppName into the target field.

2. Right click on that shortcut and select "Properties".

3. On the end of the target path, add "/prefetch:1" (without the quotes). Observe a space between them.

4. Click "Apply" and "OK" or simply click "OK".

Run your application now, and see for yourself. :)

Note:
You may not notice any difference to some stuffs for the following reasons;
- Application's data already included in the prefetch directory.
- Small or light weight application (trick not necessary).

Enjoy! :)
